Am I Dandy?
Gay Museum Berlin
June 30th 2016 Berlin, Germany
The dandy is a combination and a reflection of oneself and society. His strong narcissistic urge and his lifestyle are very relevant for today’s society in various forms. The selfie time and the constant urge to present oneself, as well as the ignorance about our planet, our society, our self, are just a few examples that reflect the essence of the dandies.
We want to create a fashion show that shows the dandy in all its diversity. The focus is always on acting as an individual. The dandy movement is not held together by music, politics or the like, as the dandy is not part of a subculture, but functions as an individual.
ONIK - Fashion & Panel
Tak Theater Aufbau Kreuzberg.
January 19th 2016 Berlin, Deutschland
Onik represents a collective of 8 individual fashion designers. The Designers cooperate in a new and invintive structure which gives every one of them the possibillity to evolve their own label and be part of the collective at the same time. Through this collation Onik works on events, projects, which can be organized and financed together- and which lead to a creative freedom for the individual works. Onik explores new ideas for a social solidarity.
The collective promotes an intersziplinary exchange between the Art, Design, Textile and Fashionszene- with the goal to find and share solutions and answers for new developments and contemporary issues. In their own rythm.
